Northwest MLS revises, adds rules

Northwest MLS recently revised several rules and added two new ones. All changes were effective on September 15. Legal Bulletin 208 and Revised Redline Rules contain more detailed explanations, but in short the updates affect:

  1. Offer Review and Offer Presentation Dates. Revisions to Rule 11 clarify the requirements related to the "offer review date" and creates a new required field for every listing.
  2. Showing Rule Revisions
  3. Temporarily Off Market ("TOMK"), which codifies NWMLS's longstanding policies related to TOMK listings.
  4. Directional Signs. This new rule governs the use of such signs and prohibits members from placing directional signs where there is no listing.
  5. Rule Clean-Up and Modernization for parts of Rules 40 (automatic fines), 180 (business cards) and 189 (advertising agreements).
